The Wilmansrust Affair

In 1901, while operating in the Transvaal region of South Africa, the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles were attacked by a Boer Commando, setting off a series of incidents which would have ramifications for the Disciplinary provision of the Australian Defence Act.
