The Battle of Binh Ba

Binh Ba.jpg

In June of 1969, troops of the North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong occupied the village of Binh Ba to the north of the 1st Australian Task Force Base at Nui Dat. The men of the 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment were ordered to clear the village, a task which at first sounded easy, but which would develop into a two day battle against a determined enemy.
